PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS WHAT'S NEW WEDNESDAY

PERFORMANCE ARTIST ARON TAYLOR Wednesday, January 4, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Join us for a special performance by quickdraw artist Aron Taylor in a spoof of police forensics. In his role as an officer, Taylor will try to discover the culprit of a dastardly deed by interviewing the audience to create a composite sketch of the suspect. Who will it be?

QUILLING FROM THE HEART Wednesday, February 1, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Learn the basics of paper quilling and make "heartfelt" Valentine's Day cards. BEE CAVE

BOOK CLUB - New Night! Beginning on January 11, 2023, the Bee Cave Book Club will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month in the library from 7-8 p.m. Join us for the first meeting of 2023 when we discuss The Midnight Library by Matt Haig on January 11 at 7:00 p.m. On February 8, the group will discuss Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann. New members are always welcome! Copies of the books are available at the library in multiple formats. See a complete list of the 2023 Book Club selections HERE.

Join the Friends in 2023! Make this the year to get more involved in your community and library by joining the Friends of Bee Cave Library. The group meets the second Friday of each month at 2:00 p.m. to help support the library through fundraising, advocacy, and volunteering. This spring, we'll be participating in focus groups for the design of the new library (yes, you heard that right!) and helping with our 2nd annual Books and Bees Festival scheduled for April 1st. PROGRAMS FOR TEENS, TWEENS & KIDS TEEN ADVISORY BOARD NEXT TAB MEETING: January 7, 2023 2:00-3:00 p.m. The Teen Advisory Board, or TAB, is a group of teens who come together and earn service hours by taking an active role in helping the library support our teens and the wider community. TAB meets once a month at the library to share ideas, plan, and advertise library programs and events. Questions? Contact Melissa Slaughter at [email protected]

BEETWEENS COMEDY WORKSHOP with Wendi Aarons Saturday, January 21, 2:00-3:00 p.m. Mark your calendars for this special workshop! Laugh out loud and learn the basics of joke telling with comedy writer Wendi Aarons. Open to 3rd-6th grade. Questions? Contact Melissa Slaughter at [email protected]

FAMILY STORYTIME Best for ages up to 5 years Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. OR Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Registration for Storytime opens one week in advance and space is limited. Join us for a highly interactive program that will have children and grownups reading along with stories, singing, and moving. Best for ages up to 5 years. This age- appropriate event runs 20-25 minutes.

BABY BUMBLEBEES Lapsit Storytime Newborn to 12 months Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Babies, bring your grownups to enjoy stories, songs, and a bit of playtime. No registration is needed. Questions? Email Ms. Meliss at [email protected] Special Saturday Storytime January 14, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Join us for a Three Bears-themed storytime with a story, crafts, snack, and playtime! For the most fun, read or tell your child the story of The Three Bears ahead of time. Best for ages 5 and under. Registration is required and opens one week in advance.
