Travis County Terminates Lease with Eco Depot

Eco Depot in Bee Cave
The City of Bee Cave has received several calls and emails regarding Travis County’s decision not to renew its lease with Eco Depot, a transfer station for commercial and residential waste located in Bee Cave.
Travis County owns the property on which Eco Depot operates. Texas Disposal Services (TDS) operates Eco Depot and has announced Eco Depot's last day will be February 14, 2026.
The City of Bee Cave was not involved in Travis County’s decision and did not participate in the lease renewal process. This matter is not scheduled for discussion or action on any Bee Cave City Council agenda.
Questions regarding the closure of Eco Depot should be directed to Travis County or to Texas Disposal Systems (TDS), which operates the facility.
