Teen Court in Bee Cave

Teen Court in Bee Cave

Court is in session.. for teens. Bee Cave City Hall will start hosting teen court, giving teens who face Class C misdemeanor charges a chance to clear the charge and avoid a hefty fine by going through the teen court process, completing community service and other activities for the particular offenses.

Honorable Judge Farren Sheehan has led teen court in other communities and says it makes a huge impact on both the defendant and the volunteer jurors.

"Once a defendant goes through the program, they are expected to serve as jurors in the future," says Judge Sheehan. "It's a unique opportunity for them to be on both sides of the situation and it has impacted the lives of many participants."

Teen Court will take place the fourth Thursday of the month starting at 6 p.m.
